The cyber security industry is growing in response to surging demand for digital systems that are more resilient to hacking.

Yet globally there is a shortage of competent cyber security professionals. 

We and our members are on a mission to grow the pipeline of entrants to the profession by supporting career pathways for all people regardless of background, gender identity, creed or neurodiversity.

We are committed to building talent for the future through our global network of member cyber security companies, governments, cyber security regulators, training and academic partners.

You can browse our large library of ‘Day in the Life’ videos on our YouTube channel. You’ll hear from a range of professionals who give real insights into what it is like to work in cyber security and in different disciplines, as well as giving advice on how to begin and progress your career.

Our YouTube channel also contains content on CREST and lots of technical content relating to the profession.

We commission research reports to provide key insight into the challenges facing the industry from cyber crime to skills shortage and diversity issues. In the UK, collaboration with the examinations board AQA to discuss cyber security and GCSEs, led to the publication of a discussion paper that has since been shared with the government.
