Evolving CRESTCon in the UK: A fresh chapter

For over a decade, CRESTCon in the UK has been a major part of our annual events calendar, bringing together our vibrant Member community of cyber professionals to learn, connect and share knowledge.

Delivering value to you, our Members, is at the heart of everything we do as is our commitment to fostering a strong sense of community.

However, as the cyber security landscape continues to evolve, so too must the way we engage with our Members and deliver our events activities. It’s time for us to double down on the CRESTCon model and go further in our efforts to bring like-minded people together to share and learn.

Adapting to a changing landscape

A lot has changed since CRESTCon first started more than a decade ago:

• The events landscape has evolved – with a greater emphasis on hybrid and digital, and more tailored event experiences
• Our Members’ needs have shifted – reflecting a more diverse and specialised cyber security community
• Our Membership has grown – meaning we now serve an even broader community with new and expanding expectations .

With this in mind, it felt like the right time to take a fresh look at CRESTCon and ensure it remains fit for purpose.

We listened to you

We conducted two comprehensive Member surveys to better understand what you value most from CRESTCon. Your feedback was clear: while the event has been a great success, you wanted more events where you can go deeper into the topics that matter to you, aligned more closely with your natural peer group. We took this as an opportunity to step back, evaluate, and reimagine what CRESTCon could offer.

The evolution of CRESTCon in the UK

This marks an expansion and honing of the CRESTCon model.

The brand and name you know and love will remain, but we are diversifying its offerings to provide even greater value to our Members. Instead of a single annual event, CRESTCon will now encompass a suite of events and engagement activities tailored to different needs and interests.

What to expect from the new CRESTCon experience:

• Leadership events – Opportunities for senior professionals to connect, share insights, and shape the future of cyber security
• Discipline-focused and Community events – Events tailored to specific areas of cyber security, ensuring deeper, more targeted discussions
• Online events – Enhancing accessibility and engagement for our Members
• Hybrid events – Combining in-person networking with virtual accessibility, ensuring flexibility for all participants

The future of CRESTCon in the UK

As our community grows, it is more important than ever to ensure that our events and engagement activities are as accessible as possible. Our new approach to CRESTCon will offer multiple ways to connect, learn, and engage.

The evolution of CRESTCon is an exciting step forward. As our global community continues to grow, so must our approach to events and engagement. By expanding CRESTCon into a suite of diverse and accessible experiences, we are reinforcing our commitment to our Members and ensuring that we continue to provide the highest level of value and engagement.
