CREST, the international not-for-profit membership body representing the global cyber security industry, announces Crowe Indonesia Teknologi, FORTBRIDGE, Grant Thornton Consulting CJSC, ITSEC Services Asia, LRQA Nettitude, Precursor Security, Ruptura InfoSecurity, and ValueMentor as the first service providers approved within the Dubai Cyber Force Program.
The Dubai Cyber Force Program is an initiative under the Dubai Cyber Innovation Park (DCIPark) launched in 2023 between CREST and the Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC) that gives approved service providers and qualified individuals greater access to the cyber security market in Dubai through engagement with the Dubai government, semi-government and critical information infrastructure (CII).
CREST, CEO, Nick Benson said: “Congratulations to the first companies approved to Cyber Force who have had to demonstrate their skill, competence and commitment to protecting Dubai’s cyber security.
“CREST is delighted to continue our collaboration with the DESC and welcomes this very tangible step in building a strong Dubai cyber security market. The initiative is a key part of CREST’s mission to drive consistent international standards for the delivery of cyber services and provide greater assurance back to cyber-buying communities.”
The Dubai Cyber Force Program supports the DESC mandate to regulate cyber security services provided to Dubai’s government, semi-government, and CII organisations. In its current phase, the program will focus on certifying companies and individuals providing Penetration Testing and Incident Response services.
Dr Bushra Al Blooshi, Head of Research and Innovation, Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC), said: “At DESC, our commitment to excellence aligns seamlessly with the Dubai Cyber Force Program, supporting our mandate in ensuring that the right quality of service is provided pro for government, semi-government, and Critical Information Infrastructure organisations. Moreover, giving a better open access platform for the service providers to offer their services to the government of Dubai.”
