The University of Greenwich is based on three historically rich campuses: the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, a World Heritage Site; Avery Hill, Eltham, comprised of beautiful 19th- and 20th-century buildings listed by English Heritage; and Medway at Chatham, a splendid Edwardian redbrick campus dating back to 1903. The rich heritage of these buildings, combined with the significant investment in high-tech learning and research facilities, provides an environment which stimulates enquiry, celebrates scientific endeavour, and promotes wellbeing.

We offer more than 200 undergraduate degree programmes across our campuses and we have a diverse community of students from 160 countries. Recent awards include a Teaching Excellence Framework silver rating and an Outstanding rating by Ofsted for primary education training. All areas of the university produce high-impact research outcomes that provide new understanding and insight to a number of challenging global issues, bringing a vitality and relevance to our teaching. BSc Hons Computer Security and Forensics

Developed to meet the industry demand for IT security specialists with the knowledge and skills to conduct forensic analysis of modern computer systems
Provides students with a solid foundation in computer science, computer and communication systems, software development and managing security within an organisation
Course content covers the security needs of networks, users and applications, together with computer crime, police and forensic methods, and legal requirements for collecting evidence
Students will develop personal and professional skills that enable graduates to communicate effectively and to make a positive contribution in the workplace
Students can take industrial examinations such as Cisco, Ethical Hacking, Microsoft and Java certifications
Students are automatically enrolled as student members of the British Computer Society the chartered body responsible for establishing and maintaining technical and ethical standards in the profession

MSc Computer Forensics and Cyber Security

This programme is suitable for both newcomers to computer security and computer forensics and practitioners who wish to further their skills. It covers relevant skills, software and hardware technologies, and the more theoretical studies that underpin everyday practice. It ensures that students have a basic understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements and the international standards pertaining to computer security in different nations.
Students gain knowledge of computer crime, police and forensic methods, and the legal requirements for collecting evidence.
At the end of the programme, students are able to administer and configure business-critical distributed applications. They also gain an understanding of the threats to business networks and servers.
The programme includes hands-on training in current forensic tools as used by the police. Students can therefore contribute quickly to the well-being of corporate IT and informational assets.
Though our short course centre opportunity may also be provided to study for the following professional qualifications: Certified Ethical Hacker (EC-Council); EnCase Computer Forensics, Penetration Testing and Vulnerability Assessment.
