Singapore launches updated Cyber Security Strategy

CREST welcomes the updated Cyber Security Strategy published by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) on 5 October to help the country to adapt to new and growing cyber threats and emerging technologies.

The updated strategy includes an increased emphasis on collaboration with industry and workforce development. It builds on Singapore’s 2016 Cyber Security Strategy which focused on developing a robust and vibrant ecosystem, including more ‘Made-in-Singapore’ cyber capabilities and solutions.

“The CSA’s updated Cyber Security Strategy clearly defines the cyber security challenges and opportunities not just in Singapore but globally as we all do more in the digital space,” said Rowland Johnson, President of CREST.

“In particular we welcome the strategy’s focus on supporting organisations to adopt appropriate and high-quality cyber security solutions, underpinned by a skilled cyber security workforce linked to strong professional communities.

“CREST and its members look forward to working with the CSA to help to implement the strategy to secure Singapore’s critical national infrastructure and boost its cyber security capabilities.”
