 Bristol, UK – 5th June 2018
Immersive Labs, the highly accoladed UK cyber security company that helps companies identify and develop talent through a unique cloud-based cyber training and assessment platform, has today announced that over 100 labs on its platform have been deemed suitable learning resources to help cyber security professionals study for their CREST CSPA and CREST CRT examinations. These CREST exams are vital to providing individuals with the professional qualifications needed to progress a career in cyber security.

“The primary aims of CREST are to build capacity, capability and consistency in the technical cyber security industry. Education, training and professional development are an essential part of achieving these aims.  Our relationship with training organisations is very important to ensure individuals have the opportunity to fill gaps in their skills and hone their experience prior to sitting the CREST examinations,” said Ian Glover, president of CREST. “The buyers of training services must have confidence in the quality of the courses. CREST provides this confidence through its Approved Training Provider programme.  CREST is delighted to welcome Immersive Labs as a CREST Approved Training Provider.  The lab-based training allows candidates to experiment and learn to use tools and techniques that closely replicate what we expect penetration testers to do in the real world.”

Immersive Labs’ software-as-a service cyber skills platform streams real-world exercises on demand, through browser based labs. Users are immersed in real challenges and must continually develop their skills to complete the exercises. Gamification is at the heart of every lab, meaning users are rewarded for each one they complete and employers can set unique learning journeys for individual members of staff.

The CREST approved labs are clearly sign-posted with in the Immersive Labs platform with the CREST logo, so that users can be confident that skills developed in these labs will help them achieve CREST professional accreditations.

“Immersive Labs’ status as a CREST Approved Training Provider is a further testament to the effectiveness of our gamified approach when it comes to upskilling cyber security professionals,” said James Hadley, CEO and founder of Immersive Labs. “Users are not spoon-fed information and are encouraged to learn through a hands-on approach with labs spun up in a browser-based, competitive environment that is conducive to developing the practical skills needed to excel in a career in cyber security.”

Immersive Labs will be giving live demonstrations of the platform at Infosecurity Europe, 5-7 June 2018 at Olympia in London on booth Q145.
